Client Care & Agreements
What needs to be clear before paid coaching begins.
Last updated: August 2026
This page explains the practical client-care steps used to keep coaching clear, professional, and grounded. It is not a substitute for a signed coaching agreement, but it explains what to expect before paid coaching begins.
Before paid coaching starts
- Coaching agreement: Every paid client signs an agreement before the first paid session.
- Intake form: Clients complete an intake or readiness form so the coaching work starts with context.
- Payment clarity: Package price, session length, schedule, payment timing, refunds, cancellations, and missed-session rules are reviewed before starting.
- Scope clarity: Coaching is clearly separated from therapy, counseling, diagnosis, crisis care, legal advice, financial advice, and medical advice.
Intro call disclaimer
The free intro call is a conversation to explore whether coaching is a good fit. It is not therapy, counseling, diagnosis, crisis support, legal advice, financial advice, or medical advice.
Client safety and fit
If a person is in acute crisis, feels unsafe, or needs clinical mental health care, coaching may not be the right support at that time. The right professional support comes first.
Testimonials and reviews
Testimonials, if used, should be real, permission-based, and not misleading. I Go Forward Coaching does not use fake testimonials, invented client stories, or promises that everyone will get the same result.
Results disclaimer
Results vary. Coaching outcomes depend on the client’s goals, effort, circumstances, and follow-through. The purpose of coaching is not to force people to move faster. It is to help them keep moving forward with clarity, consistency, and integrity.
Momentum, FORWARD, and consistency
Momentum is the engine. FORWARD is the path. Consistency is the result. The coaching process is designed to help clients understand the season they are in, choose the next right step, and keep moving in a way that fits real life.
